(x) Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., G.V.R., 1st issue (183286 William Durrant, P.O. 1Cl. H.M.S. Kildonan Castle.), extremely fine

William Durrant was born in May 1878 at Seaford, Sussex and enlisted in the Royal Navy in May 1896. Having been 'Recovered from desertion & send to D. of Wellington' in July 1900, he served during the Great War, with this Medal issed on 1 October 1917.
