1897 (7 May) 5c. registered envelope to Germany, uprated with 1c. on 8c. orange (2), 6c. lilac and 8c. blue, paying 1 oz rate, tied by "kwala lumpur" c.d.s. and showing registration d.s. with, on reverse, Singapore (10.5) and arrival datestamps. Very rare. As compared to postal cards, very few SS registered envelopes are found used in Federated Malay States, the ration is about 30 to 1. Photo
