The first printing of 10,000 was placed on sale on 15 December 1884. for correspondence within the Straits Settlements and the Protected Native States, and could be addressed to Johore.
1893 (6 June) 1c. green card to Germany, uprated with 5c blue, tied by Singapore c.ds., with arrival c.d.s (30.6) on front; the extra 5c being late fee. The 5c late fee effective 11 August 1890 for the first ½ hour after the time fixed and 10c for between ½ hour and 1 hour after the time fixed.
