The first printing of 10,000 was placed on sale on 15 December 1884. for correspondence within the Straits Settlements and the Protected Native States, and could be addressed to Johore.
1887 (29 Oct.) 1c. green card to Belgium, uprated with 2c rose, with the imprint cancelled by Singapore c.d.s and the stamp cancelled by undated "singapore/p.o." cancel; both the imprint and stamp also tied by violet firm's chop, showing Paris (25.11), Ostende Station (26.11) and Gand (27.11) c.d.s., all on front; small tear at top.
