1884 (2 Jan.) envelope registered from Collingwood to London, bearing 4d. rose and 6d. blue thrice cancelled with "158" duplex with two London oval Registered datestamps, one additionally tying the 4d., Melbourne and another London Registered datestamp on reverse; some perf. defects through having been affixed slightly over the edge of the cover though a very rare franking, being the earliest recorded postal usage of Stamp Statute stamps, on the second day of postal validity.
