1856 (21 Mar.) mourning envelope from Melbourne "p Queen of the Isles" to Otago, New Zealand, rated "2" and bearing Campbell & Fergusson 3d. blue (2, one curiously reduced at right) neatly cancelled with Barred Numeral "1" and showing arrival datestamp for 21 June, suggesting that the letter missed the original intended sailing, despatch oval datestamp on reverse.
