Overprint vertically downwards, Hall variety 26
The overprint is generally very faint, though occasionally clear and distinct (Hall p.24). Hall suggested that it was a trial overprint, quickly discarded as unsatisfactory. Only one pane was thought to have been produced and no used examples have been recorded

1r. green and aniline carmine block of four with the overprint applied between the stamps and all three impressions of the overprint showing small second "z", large part original gum; split vertically and rejoined, horizontal bend on lower left stamp.
