EL near intense black shade, part of sheet margin at right and large margins other sides, tied to entire letter to Hamilton, dated 16 Jan. 1841 by a superb, crisp strike of the purple Maltese Cross and with straight line "stratheaven" in the same colour on reverse, opening well for display.
