12c. die proof in black on glazed card with handpainted Jawi and English value tablets, inset on thick card (86x93mm.) dated "23rd June 1925", marked "The Malay version of the the duty plate is correct", signed C. Otto Blagden 25.6.25", further marked "Appd for duty tablets", initialled and dated "26/6", on reverse are De La Rue and School of Oriental Studies handstamps, the latter regarding the translation; a few faint spots on thick card. An interesting and unique proof. Photo
