1863 (19 Sept.) Officer's envelope to Dublin, bearing GB 1d. red "stars" (6) all cancelled by London "51" numerals applied in transit and showing recipient's notation at left. This letter was probably sent by H.M.S. Severn's surgeon, John Burke MD, as this ship was was at Singapore at this date. A rare example of GB stamps used in Singapore. (ID). Photo
