1860 (21 Aug.) entire letter to Melbourne, bearing Beaded Oval 4d. tied by indistinct numeral cancel (crossed by pressed vertical filing crease) and showing, on reverse, a superb strike of the large and impressive "victoria express/s. collou & co/stationers/News & Letter Agency/&c/inglewood" cachet, manuscript "1" (signifying that the express fee of 1/- had been paid; partly obscured by flap), Inglewood c.d.s. where the letter was put into the postal system and arrival datestamp (23.8).
