3m. (2) in shades of green and sepia and 2½p. (2) in shades of black and blue, numbered "1" to "4" and affixed to piece of thick card (160x126mm.) dated "21st May 1932" and submitted as trials for the soon to be required 3m. value, "1" with diagonal pen cross, "2" marked "This stamp is suitable, J.T. Tomlin 31/5/32", "3" left unmarked and "4" marked "Owing to the similarity between these colours & those of the existing 5.P.T. airmail stamps this shade is not suitable. J.L.T." and with the De La Rue Bunhill Row oval handstamp in blue alongside. A wonderful showpiece. Photo
