Colour Trial Die Proofs
Three pages of thick card (each 150x228mm. and once hinged together), each bearing two vertical columns of five trials with blank value tablets on surfaced "SG" watermarked wove paper, the left-hand column of each with vignettes in black, the right-hand column of each with vignettes in brown, the frames in a variety of different colours and with each proof numbered at upper left corner, eight of the proofs marked alongside with suggested values in pencil. A colourful and very rare group believed to have been proofed on 15 May 1931. Photo
