1842 (18 Sept.) entire letter from Scotland to Cape Town and redirected to Caledon, and 1846 (26 Aug.) entire letter from London addressed to an Army officer at Gibraltar, redirected to Cape Town and again to King Williams Town, both variously rated and with a number of despatch and arrival datestamps, both showing framed "to pay" handstamp (Type 1), fine and fair strikes respectively
