1779 (29 July) and (29 Sept.) entire letters from Richard Clarke and Henry de Ponthieu to Sir William Codrington at Dodington (the latter redirected from London), the former marked "1oz¼", variously rated and eventually marked "Free", showing unframed "dover/ship lre" with London transit datestamp (24.9) on reverse, the latter rated "1/-" (deleted), showing poor unframed "portsmouth/ship lre", circular-framed "free" in red applied on redirection and with London datestamps (23.11) on reverse
