1873-75 three envelopes and two fronts to County Cork, each franked 1d. and with superb pen and ink drawings of a political nature, including Disraeli (as an Elephant) defeating Gladstone, Gladstone's public health act, Britain and Russia (as a bear), Permissions bill of 1873, Disraeli's repeal of Gladstone's criminal law amendment act. A fine group. Probably the most famous group of hand illustrated envelopes in existence. Photo
