(x) Government of India, a consecutive pair of 100 rupees (2), Madras, ND (1917-1930), serial number S/53 681682/683, purple, lilac and green, crowned bust of George V at right, Denning signature, reverse green and lilac
(Pick 10p, Razack-Jhunjhunwalla 3.10.1Q-R), in PMG holders 45 Choice Extremely Fine. The George V 100 rupee, Madras issue, a scarce note in any grade, these are well above average and as a point of interest the typeface font of Madras markedly different on consecutive notes, one small print, one large print. This could be an error or change of font between printing, either way most unusual. A superb pair and an unusual opportunity for collectors (2)
