1800-10 (c) George III period Royal Mail Coach flint lock pistol by H.W. Mortimer, No. 298 with brass barrel, engraved along the top "h.w. mortimer. london-gum-maker to his majestyNo. 298" and "for his majesty's mail coaches" at the muzzle. Signed flat bevelled lock plate. The brass mounted walnut stock with rounded butt, scrolled side plate, trigger guard and pommel cap. Complete with horn tipped ramrod.
