1865 (18 May) quadruple rate envelope (221x102mm.) from Dunedin to Edinburgh, marked "Via Marseilles", bearing 1864 watermark "nz" imperf 1/- green strip of three and 1864 watermark Large Star perf 12½ 2d. pale blue (Plate I worn) pair (defective), all tied by Dunedin/Otago duplex and showing arrival datestamp (17.7) on reverse; the envelope with three vertical creases well away from adhesives. A rare franking illustrating the quadruple 10d. rate. Holcombe (1988) and B.P.A. (2010) Certificates. Photo
