British Asia First issues to 1970's enormous mint and used collection in two well-filled Scott International albums, from Abu Dhabi to Umm al Qiwain missing only Malaya and Straits Settlements, many better areas including Ceylon with Perkins Bacon Issues (56) showing a wide variety of papers and printings, Hong Kong with especially strong Queen Victoria and 1903, 1907 and 1921 sets to $10, India with 1854 4a. and KGV issues to 25r. (2), 1912-13 Service set fine mint to 25r., many difficult Convention State issues including Jind 1927-30, Nabha 1938-39 and Patiala 1937-38 sets to 25r. fine mint, Feudatory States including Jaipur 1931 Investiture set unmounted, the other States filled to a completion level far above average, Iraq including Baghdad Occupation 1917 ¼a. on 5pa. dull purple and 2a on 1pi. fine mint with R.P.S. and B.P.A. Certificates respectively, other values (7) annotated with provenance, Brunei and Japanese Occupation issues to $1, Labuan and North Borneo pages very well filled with numerous valuable complete sets and singles, Sarawak with 1941 BMA set complete and 1942 with 1942 Japanese Occupation overprints (23) to $10, Palestine and Jordan well filled, with strong earlier items, and 1933 Transjordan Pictorial set mixed mint to 500m., the £P1 value used, An impressive collection that is ripe for continuation with plenty of stamps that are seldom offered, many of which having previously been single lots at major auctions with provenance written on the pages and with certificates for better items dotted throughout. Condition mixed as with any collection of this scope, though the vast majority fine or better. Viewing recommended collections of this scope and quality rarely offered unbroken.
