Auction: 18028 - The 'Lionheart' Collection of Great Britain and British Empire Part VIII
Lot: 1834

(x) Collections and Ranges
British Europe first issues to 1973 comprehensive mixed mint and used collection on Scott pages, with Cyprus complete as printed missing only the 1921 £1 and 1924 £5, Gibraltar likewise with only two gaps (1903 £1, and 1921-29 £5), interesting and far above average ranges of Batum and Heligoland, Ireland virtually complete with Seahorses to 10/- and under ten spaces, Malta missing only the 1919 10/- and a scattering of earlies. An impressive collection of vast catalogue value, odd faults, particularly on the early stamps, though mostly fine to very fine with provenance provided for the better single stamps
