1896-1962 mint collection of all constituent colonies starting with Uganda 1896 Rowling typeset issues (8) to 1r. and 3a., 4a. with "L" handstamp, plus 1898-1902 complete set; British East Africa starting with S.G. 1 and 3, both fine mint with Sismondo and Philatelic Foundation Certificates respectively, the BEA period impressive with 1890-95 set complete, 1895 ½a. manuscript surcharge, ½a. on 3a., 1895 handstamped overprints (15) to 5r. (not guaranteed), 1895-96 ½a. to 5r. set of fifteen and 1897 set to 20r.; the East Africa and Uganda Protectorates issues all complete to 5r. and missing only the rare high values, the collection then complete from 1935 KGV set to 1962. A desirable collection of this popular group of colonies with condition far above average for the period.
