1855 entire (truncated at sides) to Liverpool, bearing 3d. bright blue (3, one bisected for used as 1½d.), mostly large margins, tied by barred oval strikes (2) , neat Amherst (6 Nov.) transit on reverse, rated "5" in red, with Liverpool tombstone arrival d.s. on face. Hinge remnants and filing folds including one running through right-hand stamp, still a scarce and attractive franking which folds well for display. S.G. 3, 3a, £2,800. Photo
