Lawrence Stack, Sotheby, 22-23 April 1999, lot 513
Doubleday, Glendining, 6 October 1987, lot 562

In the Doubleday catalogue the moneyer is given as Brithred, and the legend as byrhtred. Though the lettering is weak, a comparison with Mack 910 and with Copenhagen 1368 confirms that is it Byrhtmaer. Also, the North reference is given as N.771, but that is for the earlier type, the Crux type, which has a bare headed bust. The correct North reference is 773, which describes the Intermediate Short Cross obverse with the diademed bust, and which gives us the footnote 312 'mules exist with crvx reverses'.
The Stack catalogue has the moneyer correct, but unfortunately the North reference is incorrect.
