(x) Edward the Confessor (1042-66), Penny, 0.96g, PACX / Arm and Sceptre (Harthacnut) mule, Stamford, Godric, + edpard ng - rex, legend begins at 9 o'clock, helmeted and draped bust left, sceptre before, rev. + godric on stanfo, the nf ligate, around solid inner circle containing quadrilateral ornament over voided short cross (Pagan, BNJ 81 (2011), noted under 414 but not listed in corpus; cf. N.812; S.-), slightly crinckled flan, some small marks on the obverse and verdigris on the reverse, very fine, rare
