(x) Mercia, Coenwulf (796-821), Penny, 1.35g, 11h, large portrait type (c.810-822/23), Canterbury, Tidbearht, + coenvvlf - rex m, diademed and draped bust right, breaking solid inner circle, rev. + tidbearht moneta, the ht and ne ligate, around double pincer shaped cross superimposed on a cross pommée, wedges in angles (Naismith C44.2h this coin; N.347; S.916), light even tone, slight edge chip at 7-8 o'clock, otherwise good very fine
