(x) Mercia, Coenwulf (796-821), Penny, 1.35g, 3h, portrait type (c.810-821), Rochester, Ealhstan, +coenvvl - f res m, l upside down and s retrograde (for x), crude draped bust right breaking inner circle, rev. ealhztan moneta around plain inner circle containing cross moline with pellet in each angle (Naismith R2.2b this coin; N.348; S.917), flan slightly buckled and with outer circle crack at 1 o'clock and other tiny perforations along the creases, otherwise very fine
