8d. scarlet-vermilion bisected diagonally and tied on the non-bisect side by neat oval of bars on 1860 (25 Apr.) entire letter (filing creases) from St. John's "pr Mail via Halifax" to Baltimore, showing despatch datestamp alongside the adhesive and with "5/boston br. pkt" transit datestamp (4.5) at centre; the bisect with scissor-cut at top, otherwise sound.
