1929 (24 Feb.) U.S. 1c. green postcard from Rev. R. Pooley to U.S.A. and carried on the "S.S. Duchess of Atholl" which left the island on the same day for London, the stamp impression with typed "tristan da cunha" and signed "R. Pooley 24.2.29", cancelled in transit with London Foreign Service machine datestamp for a date in march (day unclear). Very rare with only six such covers stated to have been produced as noted in the George Crabb handbook. Photo
