1901 (23 Aug.) envelope (minor faults at top through opening) from Potchefstroom to London, bearing V.R.I. 2d. cancelled with neat datestamp and showing, at lower left corner, a superb strike of the oval-framed "burgher camp,/potchefstroom" in violet with initials at centre, one of only three recorded, the reverse with oval-framed "passed by censor/potchefstroom" datestamps (23.8) and arrival datestamp (21.9).
