Woodblock Stamps: 1950 (17 May) opened out-envelope double registered to Tihwa bearing $100 pair, $200 single and pair and $500 pairs (2), one tête-bêche; all neatly tied by Kuldja double-ring Uyhgur c.d.s. with manuscript date, a superb strike of the boxed registered handstamp and Tihwa arrival (3.4). Pays the correct rate of $1000 postage and $6000 for double registration. A magnificent and stunning cover, the only example of the tête-bêche pair on cover. Photo
