1949 (3 June) brown value declared envelope registered to Taipei bearing, on the reverse, Silver Yuan 1c. on $100 crimson (5), 3c. on $200 green (2), 5c. on $500 green (2) and 10c. on $20,000 rose-carmine (2) tied by Tihwa c.d.s. with remnants of the value declared label over a few of the stamps; the address side with Canton transit (9.6) and Taipeh arrival (10.6). A rare franking as these letters could only be sent to areas controlled by the Kuomintang. A good franking totally 41c which includes postage 4c., registration 12c., Air mail 6c. and the remainder for insurance. Photo
