1946 (6 Nov.) a large envelope registered to Shanghai bearing, on the reverse, a spectacular mixed franking of overprinted Paicheng imperf. $20 with Central Trust 50c. (4, one with broken "5" variety) and $2 (2) with unoverprinted 1946 air $100 on $2 (7), $200 on $5 (2) with 1946 Victory $100 (2) tied by Tihwa (Urumtsi) dotted c.d.s. with the arrival c.d.s. (20.6) alongside with remainders of registration slips affixed over some of the adhesives. The address side with bright blue Par Avion etiquette, manuscript registration number and the weight marked as "160g". The is a boxed handstamp added on both sides, "received in broken condition". A remarkable heavyweight letter paying postage $800, registration $150 and airmail $480 making the total of $1430. An impressive cover taking over six months for delivery. Photo
