1932 (29 Dec.) envelope registered to U.S.A. marked "First Air Mail Northwest Route via Tihwa, Sinkiang China - Europe" bearing Martyrs 30c. (2) and 40c. with second air set 60c. and 90c. tied by Shanghai c.d.s. with blue-grey Par Avion etiquette and German registration label "Vom Ausland über Bahnpost 4" registration label and readdressed to return to Kuling; an array of transit marks on the reverse with Tihwa bilingual c.d.s. (5.6), Berlin (5.7), Washington (14.7) and Monroe (15.7) with return datestamps of Seattle (6.8), Kiukiang (31.8) and Kuling (1.9). Paying postage 25c., registration 25c. and double air mail rate between Shanghai and Tihwa of $2. This letter was supposed to to be put on the second flight between Shanghai and Tihwa, however, this flight was cancelled due to the Turgan rebellion and took over five months to be reach Tihwa as it was held to be carried on the resumption of the air service.
