Lanchow - Tihwa Section, Second and Third Trial Flight
1932 (17 Aug.) blue on white air mail envelope to Tihwa "First trial flight airmail, Lanchow to Tihwa. crashed" bearing Junk 8c., 1c. on 3c. and second airmail 30c. tied by Lanchow c.d.s. and with Tihwa arrival (30.10), the reverse with further despatch and arrival c.d.s. and Provincial censor seal type 5 with red censor's handstamp. The original flight left Lanchow on 18th August and this is the first time the 30c. airmail fee was applied for flights into Sinkiang. This additional rate did not apply to covers which were posted elsewhere in China. Photo
