1944 (8 Mar.) red band envelope to Tihwa bearing Central Trust 10c. and 40c. tied by Turfan dotted c.d.s. (10.3) and bearing, on the reverse, a good strike of Toksun dotted datestamp with manuscript date. Toksun was a small office and did not have a supply of stamps at this time, so the stamps were applied and cancelled in Turfan. Paying 50c. local rate. Photo
