1926 (24 Jan.) red band envelope addressed to a Turkestan prince from a rural letter box bearing, on the reverse, 1916-19 5c. and 6c. with official perfin, tied by Wusu English/Chinese c.d.s. with large official seal in centre; the address side bears a faint strike of the arrival c.d.s. and is marked in manuscript, "deliver promptly from letter box to prince". Pays 6c. postage plus 5c. registration. Folding crease and minor soiling. An interesting and most unusual cover. Photo
