1928 (30 Jan.) a large envelope from the Sino-Swedish Sinkiang Expedition registered to Germany "via Tihwa ... Siberia" bearing 1916-19 10c. (2) and 1924-36 6c. (4) tied by Hami English/Chinese c.d.s. with the boxed registered handstamp in lower corner. Redirected to France, the reverse with Tihwa (7.2), Tahcheng (16.2) and Menton arrival (10.3) c.d.s. Central folding crease and some crumpling at side. Written by Baron Wilhelm Marshal von Bieberstein who was a member of this expedition into the Gobi desert. A fine five times rate cover made of 10c. plus four times 6c. and 10c. registration. Photo
