1911 (20 Nov.) red band cover to Szechwan bearing, on the reverse, C.I.P. 10c. tied by Tihwa Chinese republican c.d.s. with Peking, Ichang (23.2) and Chengtu arrival (11.3); the address side with another despatch c.d.s. and handstruck characters "via Russia". Some soiling but a good international rate cover sent via the Trans-Siberian Railway to Peking. An interesting cover travelling at the commencement of the Republic of China and showing the use of the different calendars and taking just over two months for delivery. Photo
