James I (1603-25), Unite, second coinage, Tower, 9.94g, m.m. mullet over bell over key (on obverse only), fourth half-length bust right, holding orb and sceptre, rev. crowned shield dividing cypher (cf. Schneider 26; N.2084; S.2619), dig before face, struck with old dies, fine thus, unusual - this combination of overstruck mintmarks not in Schneider's corpus
