Alard, 9.75g, helmeted head left, surmounted by cockerel, signature below, rev. type A, liberté égalité fraternité, value and date in wreath, edge plain (VG 3130; Gadoury 217); another, by J. F. Domard, 9.32g, floral crowned head left, star above, beam surmounted by cockerel across far shoulder, rev. type A, as before (VG 3138; Gadoury 224), slight rim nick to second, otherwise both with much residual brilliance, about extremely fine (2)
