Carmichael School of Medicine, Ireland, bronze Prize medal, 1868/9, bare head of Richard Carmichael left, rev. 1st years class - 2nd - edward mulock - session 1868-9 engraved in centre, about extremely fine

Edward Ross Mulock was born 22 March 1847, the son of Thomas Mulock, Gent. After his education at the Carmichael School of Medicine he moved to Stoke Damerel, Devon. In 1881 he returns his census documenting his profession as 'Surgeon, R.N'. The active list for the Royal Navy subsequently confirms his post as Staff Surgeon, later serving aboard HMS Assistance. He died on 1 July 1890 in Aix-le-Bains, France
