Henry I (1100-35), Cut Halfpenny, star in lozenge fleury type, Leicester or Chester (?), Walter, 0.43g, crowned head left, sceptre before, rev. wal[ter on l]e[-]e[-], quadrilateral with incurved sides, fleurs at tips, trefoil-annulets in angles (N.1869; BMC XIII; S.1274), slight peripheral weakness, otherwise about very fine, very rare for this mint

One can cautiously attribute this coin to either Leicester or Chester due to the similarity of mint signature and commonality of moneyer's name. At time of publication however, the cataloguer is unable to trace another example of Walter for the BMC XIII variety
