Early Anglo-Saxon England, continental phase (c. 695-740), silver Sceat, Series E, standard type 53 (2), 0.93g, diademed 'porcupine' head right, triangle, bar, pellets and annulet facial motif, rev. 'stepped cross', single pellet in each arm; another, incomplete, 0.59g, similar albeit of finer style (Metcalf II, pl. XV, no.259-61/258; Abramson E420/400; S -), both of good metal, the first good very fine, the second similar although a large fragment (2)
