3d Admirals balance of shade and printing study, with over 25 mint and 40 used singles, as well as pairs, strips, and other multiples, carefully written-up following the Rhodesia Study Circle Handbook by Stephen Reah-Johnson, many desirable items, noting perf 14 Die I used with printer's mark from position 27, perf 15 Die I with sloping line flaw from position 22 and with Waxed Moustache variety from position 34, perf 14 Die II showing the "Paw Print" flaw, perf 14 Die II with an undocumented "Collar Wing Dots" flaw, perf 14 Die II with "Snowstorms" variety, mint and used examples of perf 14 Die II, an attractive used example of the bluish grey-black shade (ex-Hensman), as well as many more showing printer's marks and other varieties, many used examples selected for desirable postmarks, including the scarce T.P.O. UP c.d.s., Kawambwa, two superb Eiffel Flats double-circles, Bindura, Bulawayo on strip of three, Wankies, Pemba, the scarce Gwelo double-circle, a late strike of the Broken Hill double-circle, etc, a few scattered small faults, but a chiefly fine collection, and an exceptional study that would take tremendous effort to duplicate.
