KM. 1070, 1071, 1074), mostly uncirculated or nearly so (5)

It is well known that small gold coins were used to shower over the heads of brides during their wedding celebrations. In the absence of a sufficient quantity of circulating coins, jewellers were commissioned to make gold coins of a similar appearance. It may be that these coins were made for this purpose.
