Eastern Caprivi: Basubia tribe
1956-79 Group of Registration cards franked with stamps (4), franked with labels (7) and loose labels (4), the earliest 1956 card bearing payments for 1956 and 1957, both years paid with 1954-60 'Arms' revenue overprinted "basubia", the upper half of the second registration card bearing payment for 1965 paid with 'Arms' £1 deep green and pink, 1971 upper half, the year's payment paid with 1971 'Scrolls' 2r. greenish blue and gold, overprinted "basubia/ caprivi" at either side, the final card with stamps bearing payments for 1970-73, the first two years paid with the aforementioned Scrolls 2r., the second two years with labels in pink, the rest of the lot showing the progression of the tax over time with various label types and usage over multiple years. The stamps included are excessively rare; this lot includes every recorded stamp of these types with Basubia overprint, as well as all the surviving cards. Superb. Photo
