Banque Nationale de Perse, obverse archival photograph showing a design for 500 rials, 1934. Again, German signatures can be seen on this unknown design. German influence was so great by this time, that the British government accused the Shah of supporting Nazi Germany, culminating in the Anglo-Russian invasion of Iran in 1941.
