Henry II (1154-1189), Penny, ‘Tealby’ C, London?, 1.28g, +henr[ ], crowned facing bust, sceptre left, rev. [ ]e on [ ], cross potent, small cross potent in angles (N.956-7; S.1339; Allen 836, pl.XVII, 9 same dies), flat in parts, otherwise very fine, rare

Allen suggests this is probably Lafwin of London, but the first two letters of the mint town are difficult to reconcile with
lv and in the view of this cataloguer could possibly be gi, indicating Ipswich as the location if proven. Worthy of further research.
