This coin is believed to be unique, with this example currently forming the only record of Derek Chick's type 221 within his extensive 2010 corpus reappraising the coinage of King Offa. This coin has also featured within Blunt's publication: 'The Coinage of Offa' (London, 1961, pl.VI, no.84) and also in Lockett's earlier article of the same name (NC IV. 20, 1920, pl.VI, no.6)
